Two (2) high quality authentic Adidas soccer jerseys ((1) navy blue and (1) white) with SYC logo & number, as well as two (2) pair of high quality Adidas soccer socks. In an effort to keep costs manageable, the standard uniform package does not include soccer shorts. As in all previous seasons, you are responsible to supply navy athletic shorts for your player. Your cost for the REC Soccer Uniform Package is $39.00 which reflects the SYC volume discount. New players and those needing replacement uniforms order through the soccer registration process. THE ONLY WAY to order and receive a rec soccer uniform at the discounted rate is by ordering online during registration. THERE WILL BE NO EXCHANGES AFTER YOU RECEIVE YOUR UNIFORM!

UNIFORM COLOR USE: At every age group level or league, games are played between two teams. If these teams are both from SYC, one team will wear White, while the other Navy Blue for each game. This instills the Home vs Visitor concept. If playing a team from another organization (BRYC, BAC, etc.) or in a seasonal tournament, our teams will have the ability to be either Navy Blue or White, therefore offsetting of our opponent’s jersey colors without the use of pinnies.

UNIFORM PROVIDER: SYC is proud to partner with Springfield Soccer, a local business located at 6230 Rolling Rd, Springfield, VA, (in the same shopping center as Panera.) (703) 866-4625. Springfield Soccer is an established and premiere soccer merchant that has been providing our SYC Travel program with their uniforms for many years. Springfield Soccer provides our membership a local customer service venue for the soccer uniform package, as well as a store to purchase all your soccer apparel and needs. Just ask for the 10% SYC member discount when visiting the store.

DISTRIBUTION: Uniforms are distributed to your Coach at the SYC Coaches Meeting held prior to the 1st regularly scheduled game. Your Coach will distribute uniforms to your player at a practice or time prior to the 1st regular season game. Each uniform is packaged with the child’s name and coach information and has been purchased specifically by a parent for their child. That is why it is important to adhere to the distribution system. No substitutions or swaps after you receive the uniform package; Coaches are required to return unclaimed uniform packages as soon as possible to the SYC office as it belongs to the family who paid for it. Players who register late, after the bulk uniform order has been placed with Springfield Soccer will be required to pick up their uniform before the second game at Springfield Soccer. The store pick-up distribution process applies only to late registrations and wait list players who have been placed late to a team.

In addition, we encourage our membership to pass their uniforms down to younger siblings, schoolmates, or friends, as a savings measure for families. Uniforms can also be donated back to the SYC office for redistribution to our scholarship families.

NUMBERING: Every effort is made at the time of printing to eliminate duplicate numbers from teams. Duplicate numbers are not a concern until U13 and above when teams play in the SFL. When duplicate numbers exist in those leagues, the uniform number may be altered with tape for games. Individual number request cannot be accommodated.

SIZING: You will keep your SYC REC soccer uniform and it will be used for many seasons to come, not just for the current season. Therefore, it is EXTREMELY important to purchase a size jersey that your player can grow into. You can visit Springfield Soccer prior to completing the soccer registration process so your player can be fitted and the appropriate jersey size determined. During the soccer registration process, you will be required to enter a uniform size. You can complete the registration, and then go to Springfield Soccer to be fitted at a later time. If you determine that the size you entered during registration is not correct, then you may call the SYC office to change the jersey size in your record. Size changes by phone must be made 30 days before soccer begins. After 30 days, we cannot change the size in your record. If the uniform you ordered does not fit, you will have to purchase a replacement uniform at the retail price. THERE WILL BE NO EXCHANGES! NO EXCEPTIONS!

We anticipate that once you purchase an initial uniform package, this will be good until your player grows out of it and we hope that will be at least 2 years (4 seasons).

REPLACEMENTS: Returning players have the option to purchase a new complete uniform package during the registration process as needed at the discounted price. If you need to replace just a portion of the package i.e. socks, or perhaps a single jersey has been lost, then you can go directly to Springfield Soccer to buy the piece separately. You will be required to show a copy of your registration receipt as proof of registration. All costs associated with the replacement merchandise are the responsibility of the member. Full uniform packages costing $39 are sold online during the SYC soccer registration process only.
