HOURLY MERIT POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Employee Advocate

JOB CODE: 19-116

Location: 1100 Industrial Drive Springfield, TN 37172

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports HR department with employee counseling, policy interpretation, peer reviews, etc. May serve as translator for employee training, employee meetings and any counseling where a translator is needed. May maintain required electronic staffing reports and other reports as needed by Human Resources Department. Maintains Human Resources files with confidentiality. Checks on new hires after orientation. Performs safety audits.

Follows established policies and procedures to ensure that all employee matters are handled in the approved manner.

Conduct exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs. Other duties as assigned.

Available to work flexible hours as required.

Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC SKILLS:

● High School Diploma or GED

● Associates Degree or higher preferred

● 2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience, with previous Human Resources experience a plus.

● Able to communicate well in English with all levels of employees both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to speak Spanish and translate in writing a plus

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
