Furniture stores Springfield VA

Pier 1 is a good chain interesting stuff and furniture for the home. We stopped by this location looking for chairs to go with our dining table. The selection here is a bit more limited than the store at Tysons, but the salesperson's attitude make our experience memorable. She was enthusiastic and friendly and very helpful and took care of stuff for us - calling other stores to check on inventory, etc. even without us asking her to do so! Now that is good customer service! So this review is for the awesome experience we had at this location of Pier 1!

I had a great experience finding a clearance item earlier this week. The initial transaction went off perfectly with the first sales associate who handled the pay by phone transaction. However things went downhill rapidly from there. There is nothing worse than going into a store that has great customer conveniences about which Sales Associates know nothing! Andrea, the sales associate in the store when I went in to pick up the item I had already paid for, knew nothing about the process for items purchased by phone. As a result something that should have taken 2 seconds for me to pick up in the store ended up wasting an inordinate amount of my lunch time because the sales associate in the store was literally trying to re-ring the item which of course is absurd. Thankfully I already had an Email copy of the receipt so I ended up leaving her holding my original receipt hostage trying to figure out what she needed to do for Pier 1. That is really horrible customer service.

This location is somewhat cramped and when the sun is setting you will be basically completely blinded through the un-tinted windows in the front of the store. However, the staff is friendly, there is ample parking, and they seem to always be well stocked.

Fellow Yelpers, this Pier 1 near Springfield Mall is top notch. The Store Manager Tracy who has provided us outstanding customer service & as well as her sales Team Leader Juan. We ended up purchasing seven pieces including six dinning chairs. Both the Reigional Manager (Kelly Marie), Store Manager (Tracy) & Sales Team Leader Juan went above & beyond to assist us with our purchase. Juan was professional & courteous the entire time & was quick at answering all our questions. The wife & I will definately buy again from this team soon. The Assistant Manager (he was less than helpful) was the only negative part about this whole experience but it quickly got turned around when Tracy took over.
